In 2009, after adopting our last 4 children, we decided we wanted to give our family some time to bond. We wanted to create memories that last a lifetime. So we packed up our new family of nine (yes- SEVEN children) and traveled the county in a converted school bus for 2 years.
Some of our favorite experiences were hiking the Gila Cliff Dwellings, watching the bats, and finding treasures in an old ghost town. But, we quickly learned that life is less about what we have and more about how we treat people. (Consider sleeping within slapping distance from your sibling every night. You learn real quick to be kind to them during the day!) This mobile living experience taught all of us that there is more to life than what we see right outside our door.
For 10+ years, I’ve used my experiences traveling full-time and as a weekend adventurer to hundreds of people design their skoolie floor plans and make their skoolie dreams a reality. Today, my focus is on helping women go from dreaming about a life of travel to building a life of freedom and adventure. Between booking nomadic travel adventures to writing travel guides, I have created a space for wanderlust women doing exactly what I love. And I want to share that with you!
